This is a list of artists with the most number-one songs on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart (10 or more). The Beatles currently hold the record for the most number-one songs in the 57-year history of the chart, with 20. The only male artist to have achieved more than 15 chart toppers is Elvis Presley, who attained 18 according to ''Billboard''. Mariah Carey holds the record for female artist with the most number-one songs, with 18. She is also considered to be the only active recording artist who could potentially surpass the record set by The Beatles. Michael Jackson and Rihanna are tied in fourth place with 13 each, while The Supremes and Madonna have attained 12. Whitney Houston achieved 11 number-ones during her career, while Stevie Wonder and Janet Jackson have scored 10 apiece.
